The fiscal year begins on July 1, 2016; therefore, dues need to be paid as soon as possible.  Checks should be made payable to Alexandria / Pineville AAUW in the amount of $66, which includes the National dues ($49), State dues ($12), and Local dues ($5).  There is a special ‘deal’ called “Shape the Future”, which allows the membership of two new members for the price of one for the first year.  (Note:  Interest groups are no extra charge.)  AAUW has been on the cutting edge of many major benefits for women in this country, which includes the right to vote and equal pay.
