Please plan to attend the June General Meeting and Open Board Meeting to be held on Sunday, June 11, at 1P at the Pineville Community Center on Main Street in Pineville. It will be an “inside picnic”. Doors open at 12:30.
Enjoy a time of delightful fellowship with other members and enjoy the wonders of God’s beautiful World at 1PM – 1:30. (For those family members who do not wish to stay for the business, they may depart at this time. It will be nice to get to know other’s families a bit better!
The Business Meeting will be held from 1:30PM-2:00PM. We will have reports regarding our work and express appreciation to all those who have carried out our mission with programs and projects; eg, . Down’s Syndrome (Hopefully, Asher will be with us!), Book Review group, Bridge Group, Cemetery Project, LSUA, High/Low Fun/Learn Tea, etc. We will elect the new officers and they will be installed by the State President. Finally, we will receive the AAUW Day in Pineville/Cenla AAUW Day Proclamation from the Mayor.
Before concluding the meeting, we will have a simple remembrance for Pat Ponthie, one of our lifetime members. We would like to recognize her many years of service in AAUW and in our community.
Please mark your calendar and share this information with your family and ‘significant other’, so they will know to come and expect a good time! Please bring food to share with others! We will need some folks to come early and help set up the food, as it comes in. Someone will need to be on site about 12ish to greet and make folks feel welcome. Finally, we will need folks to help with the cleanup after the meeting to insure that we leave the Community Center in good order.
Please let us know what you plan to bring for the picnic (food, plates, utensils, cups, napkins, paper towels, drinks, desserts, etc.)
